Social media has become a major part in the fire and life safety industry. You can do just about anything and everything online, from networking with companies to researching fire safety news. The internet has surely made getting anything you’re looking for just a mouse click away.

 

Being part of the fire safety industry it is our job to highlight the importance of passive fire protection systems. We’ve created informational blogs and social media posts about **[fire damper inspections](https://www.lifesafetyservices.com/fire-life-safety-services/fire-damper-inspection/)**, **[fire door inspections](https://www.lifesafetyservices.com/fire-life-safety-services/fire-door-inspection/)**, **[barrier management](https://www.lifesafetyservices.com/fire-life-safety-services/barrier-management/)**, **[firestopping](https://www.lifesafetyservices.com/fire-life-safety-services/firestopping/)**, and **[photoluminescent egress path marking systems](https://www.lifesafetyservices.com/fire-life-safety-services/photoluminescence/).  **In order to create our content, we have to get our information from somewhere, which is where social media has come in handy, making our job easier than before the internet.

 

From NFPA journals to individual blogs and magazine websites, a good majority of time is spent researching different aspects of the fire and life safety industry online. We subscribe to different newsletters, RSS feeds and websites that are dedicated to the fire safety industry. Following the industry trends and looking for news to share or stories to tell in hopes of highlighting the importance of passive fire protection inspections is an important part of our work.  With Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Alerts, finding and receiving the latest news and in turn, sharing it with our followers like you has become much easier.
